Research approach: seller listings checked October 22, 2026. These selections have not been hands-on tested.
Start with the board type
Our six selected cabinets include sisal boards for steel-tip darts and electronic boards for soft-tip darts. Decide whether you prefer keeping score yourself or want the automatic scoring advertised by an electronic model. Decorative artwork does not establish the quality of the board inside.
Separate the artwork from the equipment
BEERGIRL, FREEDOM and WOLFHEAD are the selected sisal sets. WHISKEY and EAGLE are electronic sets; WIN.MAX is the electronic option selected in Woodgrain. These are distinct listings, rather than a claim that every design is available with either board type. Several Yirinatek sets use decorative stickers: confirm whether you will need to apply them.
Measure the full playing area
Check cabinet dimensions with the doors open and closed. Keep the throwing lane clear of entrances, seating, fragile items and busy walkways. Follow the exact model’s instructions for mounting height, throwing distance and fixings; steel-tip and soft-tip setups should not be assumed to use identical measurements.
Check power, darts and installation
For an electronic cabinet, plan a suitable outlet and cable route. Confirm compatible soft tips, included darts and replacement parts. For a sisal board, check the steel-tip darts, scoring accessories and mounting hardware. Wall and floor protection matter for both types. A decorative woodgrain finish does not establish solid-wood construction.
Choose for the person using it
For a regular darts player, start with their preferred board type and playing setup. For a gift, check that the recipient has enough space and is comfortable with the assembly. The theme can make a cabinet appealing, but a striking design cannot compensate for an unsuitable room.
